Happy New Year

This blog has been around for six months now, and to me it´s been a wonderful six months. As I´ve spent time in this blog-universe, I have discovered so many inspiring blogs. Blogs I visit daily, blogs that serves as a great source of inspiration. I feel fortunate that an increasing number choose to visit Konfettiform as well. To all of you who visit and take the time to leave a comment, thank you!! Your comments, long or short, are all appreciated. I wish you a happy New Year, and may good fortune come your way in 2011. See you in the new year! Love, Lena.

New palette | Pinterest

There´s just something about dusty pastels and grays combined with black and white. With a touch of bright color it feels so fresh to me. I´m looking for a new palette for my work, and this selection will be saved for later use. (Head over to Pinterest to find all the links for these images).

Today, A butterfly in my hair presented her great idea about making a moodboard for 2011. It will contain images and text that will reflect what she wants to focus on in the new year. Love the idea!

Christmas treat from Katie Quinn

I wondered why it´s been so quiet over at Katie´s blog lately... and now I know why. The australian foodstylist and foodphotographer has been working on a big treat, and it´s out today! Head over to Issuu and read the What Katie Ate Bumper Christmas ´10 edition. It´s full of inspiring pictures and recipes. I, for sure, will have a sit-down tonight and study it closer. And with that said, I´ll wish all of you a pleasant weekend.

But, I´m partly responsible for getting the Christmas lunch ready here at work today, so I guess it´l have to wait ;)

Showcase | Artist Erin Flannery

All artwork © Erin Flannery

From the Gold coast of Australia comes Erin Flannery, an artist who has been one of my absolute favorites since I discovered her at iiiinspired a while ago. Her style shows fashion and glamour but gets real and down to earth as it meets the roughness of street art-influences. There´s delicate lines, layers of paint next to blocks of white and black, textures and raw materials. I could not help falling in love.

Erin Flannery claims to be a lover of all things black, white, weird and wonderful. As she states she gets highly amused by ridiculously over-sized bags, jewelry, flashy brand names and killer trends. Thank you for that. I think the result is breathtaking.

Here is how she describes her art: "I like to think of my style as illustration, street art and a hint of hand-stitching all meeting each other in a dark but lovely alleyway, getting on really well and deciding to throw themselves over a raw linen canvas!" Well, no need to be scared in this neighborhood.

Today I found the work of Fideli Sundqvist via DIY OR DIE. It immediately caught my eye, since the porcelain reminded me of the nice porcelain-set made by Studio Violet (Camilla Engman and Elisabeth Dunker) produced a couple of years back. Porcelain which I loved. Fideli is a student of Graphic Design and Illustration at Konstfack in Stockholm. She has a shop here. I´m equally fascinated by Fideli´s work as I am with Studio Violet. The lines, figures, colors... all in my taste.
